Rant against bloat-ware

A brief venting of frustration against bloat-ware.

Bloat-wear is a set of files making up a program that far exceed the needs of said program. In short it is a program that uses 4000+ files to create a simple shopping cart website. In this case referring to Zen-cart free e-commerce software.
Out of the box this program has over 3000 files which together eat a massive amount of server space and processor time. in the end, what does this program actually do? no more than toke orders, process shipping costs and report on total store sales. Why then would a program require so many files to function correctly?
Gliffen Designs here by renounces any ad all pre-built shopping cart solutions. The fact is we are yet to see a shopping cart solution that, out of the box, provides only the essential requirements of the standard web-store. Every pre-built solution that we come across offers so many customizations with regard to layout and display that they have become the forbidden bloat of a web server.
