Seeking Digital Marketing Associate

Gliffen Designs, a digital agency with offices in Jackson, WY and Louisville, CO, is seeking a digital marketing associate to join our expanding team. An ideal candidate for this entry level position is self-motivated, a team player and has strong communication skills to help develop our clients brands. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who want to strengthen their creative and analytical skill set in customer marketing campaigns. While there are some base level requirements for this position, we will train the right candidate to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Position Overview

The Digital Marketing Associate position is an integral part of the Gliffen Designs team that requires excellent organizational and communication skills. The individual is responsible for the execution and analysis of multi-faceted marketing campaigns, pulling together resources from all parts of the Gliffen team. 

Responsibilities

Content Writing: The Digital Marketing Associate should have competent writing skills, for both longer form articles, blogs and website content as well as for shorter marketing blurbs and taglines. Many new website builds require interviewing or inquiring with the client on details of their business in order to gather necessary information that will be used on the site, it is then the task of the Digital Marketing Associate to piece together this information in a coherent and effective manner on the logical pages of the new website.

Ad Management: The Digital Marketing Associate is responsible for ongoing management of existing ads accounts in addition to build outs of new accounts. This applies to several different platforms including Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, and any other social media, as well as working with clients on local print and traditional media advertising. Some of the tasks associated with ad management include:

  • Working with our graphic designers on copy and layout of ads
  • Ongoing optimization of Google, social media ads
  • Reporting on ad performance
  • Reviewing Google Analytics data and creating goals

Website Updates: Executing minor website updates using the WordPress platform. This includes making small updates to various client websites or putting together the written content for either blog posts or informational pages on websites. Image placement and layout adjustments within the WordPress interface are also part of this process.

SEO Services: The Digital Marketing Associate performs on-site search engine optimization updates to both new and existing sites. This requires conducting keyword research and utilizing the Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress sites to optimize various pages, maximizing the discoverability of these pages on search engines. 

Email Campaigns: The Digital Marketing Associate assists in pulling together content for email campaigns using web programs such as Mailchimp and Pardot. This involves writing brief easily digestible blurbs, laying out images and setting up trackable links to target web pages. The Digital Marketer also reports on the performance of these campaigns, and reviews them for areas of improvement.

Organic Social Media:  Research and source on-topic articles to share through client social media accounts. Respond to comments, questions and requests made by client’s customers through social networks. Maintain posting schedules for multiple clients and ensure minimum posting frequencies are met. 

Compensation

The Digital Marketing Associate is a full time hourly position. The starting rate for this position will be $19 to $22 per hour depending on experience. The employee will be eligible for all annual and quarterly bonus structures as well as all other company benefits. Benefits include paid vacation and sick time, Flexible work hours, Health and Dental Insurance, Ski pass cost share and profit share bonuses. 

Hours & Billing: The Digital Marketer position is a production level staff member . This means that the person should be able to maintain a minimum of 70% billable hours to the client in any calendar quarter. This also means that the employee may be needed for overtime work hours from time to time to keep up with client demand.
